JEFF GODFREY

    



Jeff Godfrey (b. 1986, Jacksonville, FL) is a painter who lives and works in downtown New York City. He holds a BFA in Drawing/Painting from The University of North Florida (2009) with continuing education from the New York Academy of Art. In 2015 he created new work at a residency at Fish Factory Creative Center in the village at Stöðvarfjörður, one of the fjords of east Iceland. In 2019 he created a series of large paintings for the film Paint (Bohemians), directed by Michael Walker. He has worked as a studio assistant to painter Kon Trubkovich, as a mural artist for New York Cares, as an assistant to the art adviser Allan Schwartzman, and has modeled for photographer Andres Serrano. He is also a musician with proficiency in multiple instruments.
